Ooty rose garden which is formerly known as Jayalalitha rose garden or centenary rose park stands firm in the top list of most attracting and visiting places of Ooty. You can find this beautiful garden at the elk hill in Vijayanagaram of Ooty. The garden occupies 4 hectares of land over the slope of the hill, which is totally covered with different varieties of rose flower. These flowers are arranged over the five platforms which are beautifully flowing down the hill and gives the most amazing look. The garden is maintained by the Tamil Nadu horticulture department.

Today this garden is home for 20000 varieties of roses like miniature, floribunda, ramblers, hybrid tea roses, black and green roses, and many other varieties. These varieties of flowers here been assembled from different locations around the world.

In this total garden, you will find rose tunnels, pergolas, and bowers with rose creepers. In this garden, you will also find Nilaa Maadam-a platform, from where the entire rose garden can be seen and a statue of an angel among the roses. Mostly nature-loving people are drawn towards the captivating view of this garden. You can never deny the beauty of this garden, where you'll find the portrait made out of flowers and plants. Different colored flowers arranged in a particular shape or to form an object. If you are planning to visit this enchanted garden in a peak season then you may catch up the flower show.
